What about something central? The St. Stephens Cathedral or the big wheel? This is something easy to find for everyone.

My suggestion for the meeting point at Stephansdom: the Exit of the U-Bahn station Stephansplatz (take U1 or U3). As far as I remember there's a "typical" newspaperseller right next to the exit, and you stand right next to the Stephansdom when you exit.
