What the #@$% is this code under My Account? Your personal ticket code is the only way to get access to Met Club pre-sale tickets for upcoming Metallica shows. As a Met Club member, you have the first shot at scoring the best seats in the house.
As you may already know, Metallica will be celebrating their Death Magnetic release on September 12 at O2 World in Berlin and September 15 at O2 in London. The Berlin and London pre-sale begins on Monday, September 1 at 9AM local time (that's 9AM for Berlin and 9AM for London). During the pre-sale, you will have the option to purchase general admission (floor) or reserved seating tickets and each member may purchase up to two tickets per event.
Tickets will only be available for purchase online . . . come to the tour section of MetClub.com, click on the tickets button and choose the date you would like to purchase tickets for. Each event will have a slightly different ticketing system as we want to make sure that only Met Club and Mission Metallica members actually attend these special celebrations. For the show in Berlin, the ticketing service will be using Ticketdirect allowing you to print your tickets at home. You will not have to go to the box office to pick them up on the day of the show as previously announced, but you WILL need your photo identification to enter the building with your printed ticket that will have your name on it. Your photo identification (such as a passport or driver's license) must match up to the name printed on the ticket, so therefore if you purchase two tickets, your friend/partner/pal must be with you at the time of entry.
In London, we will be using a paperless ticketing system. Again, the good news is that you don't need to go to the box office to pick up your tickets. However, you MUST bring the credit card used to purchase the tickets with you in order to enter the arena, and your guest must be with you at the time of entry. Your credit card will be swiped at the door to verify that you purchased tickets and allow you to enter the building.
For those patiently waiting to get pre-sale tickets for the upcoming North American tour, we will have more information for you very soon. IMPORTANT TICKET INFORMATION [ 8/27/2008 ]
Hey Clubbers: By now most of you have read that we have two very cool release parties coming up in London and Berlin and of course you all know about the North American tour going on sale shortly (big hint - check back here tomorrow about that one!).
Here at the Club we're always looking for ways to serve you better and one of the things we have been thinking about is how to make it easier for you to purchase tickets to shows. With that in mind, we have a new system that will be in effect starting now including all upcoming tour dates.
Each one of you has been assigned a "personal ticket pre-sale code" and it is in your profile under the My Account section. Go - look now - it's there! This code will be good for all of the upcoming ticket sales we have for the tour dates currently listed . . . you will only need one code for access to any Metallica Club ticket pre-sale in any of the cities with tickets going on sale August/September. The codes could change again for the second leg of the tour, but for now are good for all of the dates currently listed in the tour section.
Your code is for you and you alone. You can't sell it or trade it. Every show will have a ticket limit for that code - in London and Berlin, it is two tickets per member/code and for the North American dates it is four tickets per member/code. It will only be good during specified Metallica Club pre-sale periods for use by Metallica Club members.

What is a ticketdirect and how do I get a ticketdirect?
What technical prerequisites does my computer need to meet in order to use Ticketdirect?
In order to be able to print out ticketdirect, you require the Adope Acrobat Reader (from Version 6.0.1), which you can download here. For printout, please use normal white DIN A4 format paper. Take care to ensure a high-quality printout. Avoid using the economy mode as well as the stripy printout of an inkjet printer. Printout should be done between a size of 93% and 100%.
