Is the fact that no gig was announced this Tuesday at the press conference (where bands for Frequency, Nova Rock and Nuke were announced) a BAD SIGN for a gig in Salzburg????? Are there any chances left or is it already (almost) impossible?

Okay Folks, Salzburg is definitely a fake date. I mailed Ewald Tatar (promotor of novamusic & all major concerts in austria) and he clarified that there will for sure be NO metallica concert in Salzburg.

As I've already suggested in the metallicabb a few months/weeks ago: 9 gigs per Bundesland in Austria, a 10th one in South Tyrol! großes Grinsen großes Grinsen beer Zunge raus

Now seriously, there is indeed some space for gigs in July/August!! An austrian date would be fucking awesome, cuz I'm not sure at all if I can afford travelling to a swiss date. Travelling in Austria by train would be for free for me because of the ÖBB-Sommerticket.

Metallica: Openair in der Ostschweiz
Seit über 20 Jahren touren Metallica um die Welt – und bald beehren die Helden des Heavy Metal auch wieder die Schweiz.

Am 17. August kommen James Hetfield (44) und seine Mannen für ein exklusives Freiluft-Konzert in den Degenaupark bei Wil SG. Das Gelände wird bereits um 12 Uhr geöffnet, die Wartezeit bis zum grossen Auftritt der kalifornischen Rocker wird den Besuchern jedoch mit Auftritten diverser anderer Bands verkürzt. Wer genau das Metallica-Publikum aufwärmen wird, ist noch nicht bekannt. Tickets für die einmalige Show gibts am Mittwoch, 12. März ab acht Uhr morgens bei allen Ticketcorner-Vorverkaufsstellen oder unter www.ticketcorner.com.

Don't think so, bernd. I got not enough money left i'm afraid, and switzerland is also not too near. Bologna, Prague and Chorzow will be the only ones for me this year, i think!
