Time Marches On...
As we continue to work in the studio on the next album in between the occasional weekend escapes for live shows, we want to clue you into some big exciting changes that will be coming your way. The team at HQ has been very busy designing and building a shiny new website that you'll see sometime in the Fall and part of that site will be a completely updated version of the Met Club! Along with all the great renovations to the fan club and website, we are beyond psyched to announce the next step for So What! Magazine in the digital age as we take it all online in a whole new format, discontinuing the printed mailed version. Our fearless editor Steffan Chirazi will continue to go to all corners of the earth to keep you on the inside of the Metalli-world with his engaging witty commentary and reporting. The great news is that now we'll be able to bring it to you in a more timely fashion, complete with photos and video clips to create a more interactive and speedier up-to-date experience.
We've got a few other tricks up our sleeves for the Fall with the Club, but for now we need to address the nuts and bolts regarding So What! We will be publishing issues 22.3 and 22.4 this year and those will be mailed to current members. If you are due to renew your membership in the coming months you may not receive any additional issues in the mail (depending on when your membership expires), but you will be able to continue to access the members' only section of the site and see the content of the magazine online at no charge.
Over 21 years ago we launched the Metallica Club as a way for us to stay in touch with you... a way to let you know what we're up to and more importantly to hear what you think, what you want to see and hear and to celebrate many, many crazy exciting adventures together all over the world. As we steam towards 2016, we'll be adding many features to help keep us all connected, so keep watching the site and your e-mail for updates. We can't wait for the next 21 years... we're just getting started!
