Here at MetClub, we've had this idea brewing for a while and we're ready to finally put the wheels in motion. We would like to have Clubbers help film the first three shows in Copenhagen (July 20, 22, 23). We are calling it "Fan Filmed Fan Can" (yes, there will eventually be a Fan Can!) and it will feature the work of your fellow Clubbers manning multiple cameras throughout the venue.

We will not be having the usual "click here to enter" contest. We actually want to see YOUR work behind the camera. We want to see what you've shot! Anything and everything from kids sporting events to weddings to... dare we say... live shows?!?!?!? Post your videos to YouTube and send us the link. You can also send in a DVD to the usual MetClub mailing address. Along with your entry, please let us know which shows you can attend. (1, 2, or all 3 shows) Entries must be received by June 30th. We will notify the winners by July 8th.

Please read the rules below:

* You must be 18 or older to win.

* You must be able to be in Copenhagen for one of the first three shows, July 20, 22, 23.

* Please note there is no transportation or accommodation included in the prize, you must make your own travel arrangements. You do NOT need to already have tickets to any of these sold out shows . . . we think we can handle that part!

* You must have a valid Metallica Club membership.

* We must receive your entry by e-mail or postal mail no later than Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 3:00 PM PST.

* Send your video link, name, membership number, and which of the first three shows you can attend to filming@metclub.com, or the MetClub mailing address: The Metallica Club - Attn: Fan Filmed Fan Can Submission - 369-B Third Street PMB #194 San Rafael, CA 94901 - 3581

Winners will be judged by the MetClub staff from all entries received by the deadline. Winners will be notified by July 8th.

And for our North American members, stay tuned in August for a similar contest, as we will be filming two shows this fall as well!

The Club IS NOT advertising Fan Can #6 as being ready for sale. Hell, we haven't even shot the footage yet!!! Once all the contents have been finalized, we will post the information. DO NOT attempt to order Fan Can #6 or email us with questions. Once we have more info, it will be posted on the site.


Wow that's awesome. Fan Can 6 in the works, and not only the band allows fans to bootleg shows, no they even want their work for official releases! That's why i love metallica großes Grinsen
