Metallica has released many strange items and merchandise since the start in the early 80s. The up and comming converse shoes is just a new item on a long list.

Bosses at footwear Converse are planning a new line of sneakers honouring legendary bands like AC/DC, Pink Floyd and Metallica. The Metallica and AC DC shoes will feature artwork connected to the rock acts and will be available from the end of 2009.


No words about the design but my guess is that there will be some colorfull Pushead skull drawings. Maybe the "One" single cover or some tour merchandise he has designed. Just a gues, time will tell.

In other merchandise news. saltyrockz.com the online t-shirt store who gives us original but unofficial music t-shirts just released some new Metallica designs. This is retro rock to modern metal and all good points in between, made for rock fans by rock fans.
