Rick Rubin, ordered To produce the new disc of Metallica and recently awarded like “Producer of the Year” in the ceremony of the Grammy, talked with MTV about the work next to Metallica, in the recording of his next album. In the conversción, published in the Web site of the channel of videos, Rubin spoke in addition to his experience with Linkin Park (whose disc is in last estapa of mixture), and his future projects with Weezer, The (International) Noise Conspiracy and a possible work with U2, among others. With respect to Metallica, Rubin talked about briefly to which she has been to work with Metallica and the first impression that she had, before beginning with the first stages of the disc. “I saw [documentary “the Some Kind of Monster”] and I put myself nervous”, commented Rubin. “Then, we began to work and is the opposite direction of that. They are very productive, very communicative. It seemed that really they liked to be in the same room together. It is a huge progress. They commented to me that more they were moved than ever to make the new music. We are going to begin to record in March. I requested to them that you would not reinventaran yourself much to make a disc essential, leaving the purity of which Metallica is. That is the objective, so we will see what happens”, indicated the Producer.
