part 2 of 2

You often follow Metallica on tour in America. Lately you were in California: you tell us something about this experience? Outside you have been well received by the band and crew? Have you seen Four Horsemen in other countries outside Europe and America Northern? Even in this case you have any anecdotes to racconta.rci?

"Yes, I was in California in December 2008 that last Decembre (2009). I saw a total of ten dates (six in 2008 and four the last year). What can I say? A unique experience, not only because you are in beautiful places, but also because, if you're a true fan of the Four Horsemen, you can imagine how special go to 'find' Cliff Burton in the only stone that reminds Castro Valley, his hometown, or see in person the places where the band has taken the first steps of his career. Or, again, the premises where they played the beginning, like the Whiskey a Go Go in Los Angeles, or attend a concert 'at home' in San Francisco.
The crew knows me, no matter where in the world you path: when you're at a concert of Metallica, you're at home, find boys crew and, for me, as a gathering of vechi friends. The reception is always great. In 2008 the band made me find a complimentary ticket for each concert, a VIP pass to get in backstage as well as coupons for free food and drink at the 'Club Magnetic ', the' VIP Lounge'allestita specially for the guests of 'tallica. More than that ... To complete your application, I saw Metallica only in Europe and North America, for a total of fifty-nine concerts. We must confess, however, that tickles me the idea of going to Moscow in April. Sooner or later I would segurli in tour in Japan or Australia."

The matter concerning the divorce of Jason Newsted . In the film 'Some Kind of Monster', the band seems rather irritated by his statements ... You're never by accident aware of the version of the facts that most approaches to reality?

"Look, claim to know or think they heard what could be the truth would least pretentious. I believe the truth, the only know James, Jason, Kirk and Lars.
What I can say is that, for the same admission band, Jason is not never been plenamente accepted by others. Take the place of a dear friend, 'lost' only two months first, must not have been easy. Jason took that for him was the best decision at that time. I always Estimated Newsted and always shall think, as a man and as musician. I wish him great luck in all his future projects. "

As Robert Trujillo was accepted by the community of fans?. It is true that the former bassist for Suicidal Tendencies and the character more "hand" of the four?.
"I think Robert Trujillo was simply the choice at the right time. Certainly found itself facing a James, a Lars Kirk and a more mature and aware that no repeated the mistake committed against Jasson. Robert had how to integrate more quickly and more deeply Jason. Robert and I can tell you that much 'good', a boy extremely simple and polite and I can only pariarne good. "

You are in contact with the crew of the band? With whom in particular? What kind of relationship ties you?

"We are in contact with the coach of Kirk and Robert, as well as with their engineer and we deal with the Web Site www.metontour.com. We feel by e-mail from time to time, more Another circumstance that on occasions (Christmas, etc..), because
out of various periods of tour I try to respect their privacy posibile the most. "

What are the historical characters that revolve around the world of Metallica since the days of 'Black Album' (remember that in a chat told me about Tony Smith)? What kind of relationship linking the band to these people?.

"I think I can say that orbited around the band have many people. Tony Smith has been on their first 'tour assistant', then tour manager and I think it was for them about a pope, at least in the tour. I've seen several times in person and take care
Lars, James noted that in radio or Kirk that interview to the newspaper .... Tony has left after a severe bereavement in 1999, but I think that still lacks slightly at all. To me, of course. Other historical figures are just their road, that their technicians. Flemming, and the technician Lars followed him for years and like him and Danish. Justin and Zach, technical and Robert Kirk, respectively, are with the crew from a
pole of decades now, so como la living legend 'Big'Mick to mixer since 1984: the sound that Metallica during the concert stems from his genius. With all of them, from 'Big' Mick to Zach Justin to Flemming, there is a beautiful relationship of friendship and great respect.
The band, above all, respect them very much. Recently, in January 2009, Paul Owen (sound engineer) has left the crew After nearly twenty years of honorable service. Paul is English, during a concert in the United Kingdom, for healthful and James
thank him called him on stage to take the deserved applause those present and, virtually, to all fans of the band. Besides the applause, then, has taken even that pair of cakes face by his comrades in the crew, but that's another story!
The last December, Paul was in San Jose to greet every one. One nice gesture
its part, and personally, I hugged and thanked for his friendship over all these years"

Are you a collector of Memorabillia Metallica? There is a piece merchandise that we exalt in particular, or rather, a few rarities why tear your hair?
"Well, here I provochil who knows me knows that I am a collector of
rarity of Metallica: not only record - so discs or cd - but also memorabilia (guitar picks, t-shirts of the crew, jackets and much more). Many members of the local chapter are collectors like me and have the rarity that would be more accurate to call it 'relics' have the lot of material collected during the course of years and I do is really a kind of ranking, but I can make you some examples of items that will surely make me proud: all, an ESP KH-2 (Kirk Hammett's guitar, the one from maniac with skulls), signed by Kirk in 2008 and sent to me by Metallica Club USA riconiscimento of work. Moreover, I have a platinum record with jealousy of 'St. Anger', framed and official with a lot of gratitude in my plate comparisons, always speditami by Metallica Club for their work.
Then three cuffs James, four sticks of Lars, and many picks. Speaking of memorabilia, a poster of 'Beavis & Butthead' signed by the entire crew, in addition to the band, I was given last tour date of 1996 and that, of course, I keep well tight. And then a drum skin signed by the band. Speaking of rarities record, however, the field is widens too much, but I put tell you to have practically any thing out of Metallica on record market, is officially that promotion. "
