Question about DVD burning
Hey guys..i have a problem, i downloaded a few dvd's, but they have a size that won't fit on the usual 4,7 GB blank dvd disk. One is over 5 GB and 2 are over 7 GB. How do i burn something like that? Are there blanks that can take more than 4,7 GB?

andi,
i would not shrink a dvd of a size around 7gb as you told...it will get to compressed and the picture will be pixelated.
for the 5gb dvd it should be ok.
if you don't want to compress the dvds, you need a dvd burner who can use double layers.

don't really know, andi...but maybe your burning software shows infos about the brands you can use with your burner.

If your dvd burner can do DL discs then there's a logo at the entrance. Something like this (2nd from the left):
Mine also has a "Multirecorder R DL" logo on it.
BTW, I'd definitely split and reauthor the 7 GB dvd to 2 single sided dvds, only if it's allowed though.
