Gottfried Helnwein for Metallica's Cover-Artwork?
Maybe a rumor, but it's quite interesting, someone postet this at the metallica board:

I HOPE they do decide to go through with this, as Helnwein is a magnificent artist. VERY grim - would suit Metallica just fine. I really liked the work that Serrano did on Load/Reload, even though they are terrible albums. And I'm glad they're going to go with another reputable artist. And another thing to whet yr collective appetites - apparently the band have employed the work of a marching band as an into to one of their songs. Could be interesting. See ya!! |
