  Kirk thinks of STYLE of new songs

In the last number of the magazine “Under What! ”, exclusive publication for partners of the Metallica Club, Kirk Hammett commented some aspects of the 14 songs that the group began to record this week. To the consulted being if it exists some lineament common in the thematic musical comedy of the Hammett songs indicated that “in fact there is a subject not very usual that it has his own form within music. I am not very safe of how reacting to it”. Kirk added that “much of music has an air of Eastern harmonies, small harmonies of the Middle East. And when I say harmonies, can be that these are constructed with an Eastern sound, of the Middle East or perhaps something Arab? … I do not know if he is the spirit of this time, a sign of the times or perhaps because, or you know, the culture of the Middle East is so lasting… or perhaps by the negative things of the culture of the Middle East. Perhaps the artists only want to illuminate in the positive aspects of the culture of the Middle East, like for example, music”. The guitarist continued indicating that “there are passages that sound, that uses smaller and dominant harmonies. And those sounds are distinguishing of east or Arabia and listening all in the subjects (…). We are touching agreed that was touched, that has been touched by hundred of years and that were not born of the western culture and a trip to see is everything. And perhaps, I am first in saying it, but it is there”, sentenced.
